Valentine’s
Day Party
Each class will be having a Valentine’s Day Party, and there will be
sign up sheets for the parents to bring goodies. The Preschool and
Pre-Kindergarten classes will be exchanging Valentine’s Day Cards, so a
list of the children in each class will be sent home so the children can
write their classmates names on the cards. This is good writing
practice for them.
Parent’s Night Out is BACK!!!

Illnesses
The
cold and flu season is HERE! If you suspect that your child is not
feeling well or is sick,
PLEASE
leave him/her at home, or make other
child care arrangements. If your child has had a fever or is throwing
up the night before, then he/she cannot come to school the next day. We
have a 24 hour exclusion policy, and your child will be sent
home. We are trying to keep everyone as healthy as can be, and
unfortunately that means that we have to be strict about illnesses. We
understand that it is difficult for the parents and missing work, but
when a child is completely miserable, it is absolutely heartbreaking to
watch.
So please understand that we have the entire well-being of the staff
and the children to look after.

Child Care Union
Child Care centers are trying to form a union to get better support from
the state for quality care & early education. We are contacting
legislators to get them to vote Yes on the Union, which would be a win
for both the children and the teachers. We are asking the parents to
please fill out a small form about why you like our center and why you
chose our center. You will receive the form shortly, please let us know
if you do not want to participate. Additional information will be posted
in the center, or you can go to
www.seiu925.org
for more information.
